These beers are the reason I look forward to Christmas. It has a great appearance that is dark but transparent at the same time. The aroma has cinnamon and citrus in it. The taste has a nice full body of barely and ginger.

A very tasty seasonal semi-strong ale from Sam Adams. This is a heavy beer, almost thick in texture. Brown sugar, milk chocolate and caramel are all around. Semisweet and delicious. A dessert of a beer!

Out of botle, Nice full head with a great dark redish color with a nice nutty flavor with hints of coffee, chocolate and a slight caramel flavor. It was a great domestic beer with a none domestic taste.

hugely juicy. spiced grape juice. Tasty winter brew that isn’t too close to mulled cider.

bottle from the winter mix pack. Decent spice aroma. The taste is a good blend of malt and spice but the alcohol lingers a bit too long in the finish for my liking, Would not buy again

Lovely aroma of orange, ginger and sweet malt. Nice reddish brown color and a full, lasting head. Sweet malt flavor balanced well by the spices. Perhaps a bit of anise in there with some cinnamon. Full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. This is a lovely winter ale which I would happily drink all year if only it were available in six packs. Highly recommended.

Pours a deep dark amber/brown with a good head, light retention. The malts and a bit of orange are detectable on the nose. Very malty flavor with little to no bitterness. Orange and bit of ginger flavor and very slight cinnamon. Medium, lingering body with low carbonation.
