Bottle. Pours a medium brown with a strong red hue. Aroma is full of ginger, cinnamon and burnt caramel notes. Flavor has a strong malt profile with hints of cinnamon, ginger and chocolate.

12oz bottle drank out of the much over-hyped Samuel Adams glass. Amber-brown, looks filtered. Soapy head. Sweet, odd aroma..sugary and a touch off in my opinion. Hmm..I must say this beer is pretty shabby, below par. Lots of awkward malt notes, bordering on an Eastern European sugar bomb dark at times...the sweetness is that unappealing and lacking depth. The cinnamon is there, just enough to throw the beer off even more, or maybe it’s the culprit in the first place. Medium bodied, slightly watery, and just all around crappy, I can see why there aren’t six packs of this one.

12 oz bottle served in a clear pint glass. Pour is a deep amber with two fingers of beige head. Nose is very bland; I picked up cinnamon and caramel. Taste is spices and caramel up front, followed by a bitter fruitiness that rides through the finish. This is drinkable, but I am not a huge fan.

A dark amber color. The aroma is crisp with overtones of the spices, but not overwhelming. This tastes much better than I had anticipated. Not too bitter, yet not too sweet. The bite is just enough to be noticeable, yet it doesn’t linger. There’s definitely a good balance here. The body is lighter than expected. This one is very drinkable. It’s now on my short list of favorite holiday beers.

12 oz. bottle- Pours dark red with thin head, aroma is cinnamon and spice, very good. The flavor is very mellow and spicy, I like it, so far it’s my favorite out of the winter classics combo pack, the only one I haven’t tried is the holiday porter, saving hopefully the best for last.

Pours a bright amber with only a skim of a head that dissipates quickly and leaves no lacing. Aroma is strongly licorice and winter spice and as the beer warms, more and more alcohol. Mouthfeel is tingly and medium bodied, but the alcohol seems to overtake most flavors in the taste (which is hard to understand since it is only 5.9%). Finish is a little dry and non-memorable. Not a real fan of this one.

Pours a dark amber with a tan head that quickly dissapates. It has a fruity and floral aroma with a flavor of fruit and ginger.

This beer was very tough to deal with a very dark bitter aftertaste that had hints of cinnamon and spices that should normally not go anywhere near a beer

Dark brown color with a small head. Aroma has some light roast, chocolate and nuts with autumn spices. Cloves and cinnamon more than anything. Flavor is sweet and balanced with spice and light bitterness. Some light chocolate and little cinnamon bite. A little earthy finish. Very in the season.
