eraserhd10 (226), new haven, Connecticut, USA Nov 27, 2004 Actually... this is a pretty good holiday ale. Spicy, bold. Strong cinnamon. Nutmeg. Nice coloring. Definitely warm and toasty on a cold December’s night. Full, rich palate.
nqualls (422), Tennessee, USA Sep 18, 2008 Bottle. Poured a dark red with a whitish head. Aroma of spices and not much else. Flavor is of malt and spices. This beer would be good if it was maltier and spicier. Beerman6686 (780), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 3, 2008 Pours a dark red color with an off white head. Aroma is pretty bland and hard to pull out anything but theres definately some spices, specifically cinnamon. Flavor is more bountifull than the aroma, though not by much. A nice mellow maltiness with some herbs and spices to liven things up. Nothing speical but a really drinkable spiced beer. derekbang (122), Indiana, USA Jul 20, 2008 As others mentioned, decent ale with some holiday spices to make it more interesting. Had as part of a variety pack. Worth trying and enjoyed what I had but have never thought to go track one down again. keoki182 (301), West Bend, Wisconsin, USA Jun 18, 2008 Good caramel flavor in this beer...lots of sweetness and some holiday spices (I notice cinnamon and ginger). Rich and hearty, easy to drink. So smooth. I’m looking forward to tasting the bottle I have put away for a half year or so. phishpond417 (1456), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jun 17, 2008 This beer pours a dark caramel colour with a small to medium sized vanilla head. Very nice touch of many spices: cloves, cinammon, ginger to name a few. Aroma is malty and reminiscent of a dubbel. fairly light mouthfeel, creamy and silky with a long smooth finish.
