| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 10/20 | Dec 1, 2009 Dissipates quickly, flavor is weak- just fizz and a slight maltiness. Aroma is a glorious handful of flowery hops, though. Some fruitiness in the nose, too. Bottle at Total Wine and More, Naples, Florida. BillWyce (95), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 22, 2009 Pours a straw colow with a pillowy white head. Sweet, fruity aroma with a hop-spicy undertone. Light and smooth on the tongue. Caramelly malt sweet taste up front, with a hops bitterness that shows up more as it warms a bit. Average, drinkable beer. sebletitje (1925), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Nov 21, 2009 Pours golden, white head.
Aroma, hoppy, grassy/vegy like nose, malty and dough.
Flavor, grassy hops, followed by malt base that is signature of Sam Adams. Overall profile has a lingering bitter maltiness. Found the finish to be overly bitter, and sub par to the regular boston lager. Drinks with a thin dough finish and overly bitter leaving a thick metallic after taste. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Nov 19, 2009 12. oz bottle from the Summer Sampler pack lured out of my girlfriend’s mothers basement. Pours a lightly hazed lighter amber, edging dark golden. Aromas are floral and grassy hops, pale malts, a touch of bread and biscuit, faint citrus, next to no thicker caramel malts. Initial mirrors this, an earthy hop and floral pale ale, pushing decent bitterness, lighter sweet pale malts, bread, biscuit, with a touch of citrusy bitter and sweetness. Finishes clean, light bitterness and sweetness sticks to the palate. Not as bad as anticipated. phillybeer28 (19), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 4, 2009 Nice amber yellow with minimal head, with a balanced yet light nose of earthy hops and malt. Smooth and very drinkable. Could be a good session beer and but I like my pale ales a bit more hoppy and with a better aroma. CanIHave4Beers (908), Des Moines, Iowa, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 3, 2009 Pours a deep golden color, almost orange with a very loose head and spotty lace. The beer is not very aromatic but hints at some bready maltiness and some earthy hops. The flavor is similar to the aroma, some earthy hops some mild bitterness and a little bright malt. I love the two hop varietals they use in this one and they seem to work well together here; I just wish they were a little bit more prominent.
