I use to like this one more, it’s a warm weather beer, light, citrusy, session ale...take that for what it’s worth. Hbuck72 (124), Chickasha, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 2, 2009 Pours a hazzy golden color with a white head which dissipatse relatively quickly, but leaves some lacing on the glass.
The aroma is that of wheat, grains, and a lemon/citrus aroma. The taste is of grain, lemons, and spices.
Nice beer, well balanced like most Sam Adams products. adavis234 (137), Columbia, South Carolina, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 3, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy gold flavor with not much of a head. Fresh, lemony wheat aroma (though not particularly strong). Lemony hop taste, outside of the normal wheat flavor. Not a bad Adams offering, not as good as the Winter Lager. Interestingly, though, I despise the Sam Adams Boston Lager but find the seasonals enjoyable at the very least. AndyReynolds (288), Wilder, Kentucky, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 1, 2009 Draft. Poured a hazy gold color with white head. The aroma was wheaty with a citrus overtone. The flavor was alright, a little watered down, but drinkable. It did have a little bit of a hoppy bite in the finish, but not what I expected. milljam (584), Norman, Oklahoma, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 29, 2009 My first of this style of beer. Not very impressed.....definitely had some cereal undertones that I did not find pleasant. Aroma was unremarkable. I wouldn’t get this again. yayforbeer (648), Orange Park, Florida, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jan 26, 2009 Large mug (22 oz) on tap at Wild Wingz Cafe, Jacksonville. Pale golden and hazy beer. Fresh grassy and light citrus aroma. Flavor is thin and lemony citric. Drinkable but not inspiring. Not tasty enough to merit a second round, even for a session while watching a basketball game on big screen. The regular Sam Adams Boston Lager was more flavorful and enjoyable. Disappointing. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 27, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a light copper color with a thin, fizzy head. Floral hops and a grainy aroma. Has a thin to medium body, the hops are noticed throughout, some light malt and a bit grainy towards the finish. Not an excellent kolsch, but a great thirst quencher indeed.
