Nose is fairly hoppy with a backbone of caramel sweet malt and a dry nuttiness. Palate is the sam adam ssignature palate, but a little on the thin side. FLavor is light nuts with a nice hop note, bit spicy hops, and a crisp finish.

The flavour is freshing - sweet and corn-like. A bit of bread and cereal too. Nice. humulushound (142), British Columbia, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jan 1, 2010 On tap. Caramel color with ruby rim, thin tan head, clear. Aroma of vanilla, caramel and dried fruits. Flavor is desert bread with some spicy hops in the finish. Palate is a little thin for this style but finish is smooth and lightly roasty. I can see that this weizen bock works well for "Joe Beer Drinker" - and it IS good - but it’s hardly exemplary for its style. Jow (33), New York, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 30, 2009 Poured from a bottle, malty spruce nose. Dark amber, ruby edges. Very smooth sweet maltness, wth notes of vanilla and a touch of bitterness. I enjoy the maltyness of the beer, but it lacks the alcohol warming I was looking for. osu97gp (181), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
