Pours nicely, medium head with relatively short half-life. Fairly non-dememo aroma, but then again, it was served refrigerated, not @ cellar temp. Took me 2 bottles (on separate days) to pick out the cinnamon spice flavor. Not bad, but not great. Purchased as part of the winter specialy case, which would have been better off minus the 4 bottles of Boston Ale and plus 2 more bottles each of this and Old Fezziwig.

Dec 26, 2009 Pours amber with a massive beige head, most of which lasted a while, and a chocolate and treacle aroma. The flavor is thin dark wheat with a little bitterness. Drinkable, but not remarkable.

Dec 25, 2009 This is a stable beer in our household during the winter. Easy to drink and enough flavor not to be boring. Pours a nice translucent brown with a reddish tint. White head with only alittle lacing. The aroma and taste is wheat and malt. Slick texture. Good overall.

Dec 24, 2009 12oz. bottle served in a shaker pint. Pours a dark amber with a finger of off white head. Not much in the aroma department, a little caramel sweetness and some noble hops. Light to medium bodied. Wheaty with some malt sweetness, a little bit of spice in the finish. Not a whole lot going on here, but it’s fairly drinkable.

Dec 23, 2009 bottle, pours carmel with a thin off white head. Aroma is toasted malt. Flavor is the same with some biscuit and sweet sugar. Lightly spiced in the finish, but overall clean and boring.

Dec 23, 2009 12oz bottle. Amber-brown color with a creamy off-white head. Medium bodied, with some mild hoppy crispness up front and a smooth caramel finish. Medium body, a little tame and unadventurous, but still flavorful enough to sip on and enjoy. Smooth dark lagers tones, But backed by that nice spicy bitterness. A pretty good Winter Beer.

Dec 22, 2009 A clear amber appearance this beer pours with a nice little head. Very light aroma with a crisp clear wheaty malty flavor. Not much, but this brew is still delicious in its simplicity.
