Bottle. Medium-dark amber color beer with a white head, fairly translucent. The smell: yeasty, like fresh bread out of an oven. Mmmmm. Hints of licorice aroma. Strong licorice overtones in the taste, with a sweet, slightly syrupy finish. Overall, wonderfully sweet, flavorful and comforting, like sitting by a warm fire in the winter. My only complaint is, the finish is too sweet and not clean enough.

Aug 11, 2008 Chewy flavor of wet cardboard and rubber. Thin mouth feel, light body. Looks good but doesn’t have much else going for it. No need to revisit.

Aug 3, 2008 This is one of my favorite of the SA seasonal offerings, second only to the Octoberfest. It’s very smooth and tastes so good. No after taste.

Jul 12, 2008 Had this as part of a gift/assortment pack. Very fruity, as expected, and for a wheat beer, which I’m not a big fan, it was acceptable. Probably would not select on my own accord.
