Aroma is cherry and white wine. Green grapes. Sweetish lagery malt base. Appears bluish-pink. Sloshy white head. Nice color, good look. The flavor is sweet/sour cherry with some more of that fruity white wine. Some sweet bubblegum, but also a malty underbelly. Weak but not unpleasant. The palate is creamy and fizzy. A decent -- but not very good -- beer. Typical winter so ...

Very nice. My wife surprised me with a sixer of this tonight when she got back from the grocery store. My first impression of this is its very simiar to the SA Octoberfest. Upon further inspection, however, it seems to have a few more spices. Nice roasty wintery malts, but not so much you don’t know the spicy hops are there. Beautiful color and aroma. Goes down really smooth and clean, and the trademark SA yeast rounds it out nicely. This is a really good winter beer, and I could see myself sitting outside in the cold on my back porch bundled up in a warm blanket while drinking this. This is the type of beer you can create some wonderful Holiday memories with.

Bottle. Decent but nothing special. Pours a light brown with a thin white head. Mildly malty aroma. Flavor has a some sweet malt and light spice. Light to medium in body with low carbonation. Clean finish.

Very nice dark brown color with a touch of copper mixed in. Clean malty tasting with some spice in the aftertaste. Cinnamon is barely detectable on the tongue but present. Overall, an easy drinking winter brew that’s not too heavy.

12 oz bottle from Sam Adams winter pack. Pours deep mahogany with a large off-white head. Nice carbonation. Aroma is caramel malt with spicy hops in the background. Medium, oily body. Flavor is spicy hops balanced by caramel malt and some brown sugar. Long finish becomes dry. Good all around beer.

On tap at Old Pro Palo Alto. Reasonable winter beer. Clear amber-brown color with a one-finger frothy off-white head. Aroma is caramel and winter spices, maybe some ginger. Flavor is caramel malt, cinnamon, allspice, and ginger. Definitely enjoyable if not too exciting. Medium body with average carbonation and some spiciness on the palate. Decent beer overall.

Pours a clear dark amber with small off-white head. Aroma of spice and caramel malt. Well balanced with decent lacing throughout. Not as spicey as I was anticipating, which was welcomed - cheers!

Amber, thin head. Aromas of spices and malts unfortunately combine to give a nasty, meatlike impression. This fades slightly as the beer is drunk, but is hard to get past. Thick mouthfeel, sweet flavor with a good balance of bitterness. Skip it.
