Blond color, small head. The temperature doesn’t help the aroma, very light malt. The flavor manages to show a better crispy malt. Bold bitterness. Balanced and robust, even if not thrilling.

Ye old cheshire cheese. pint. pretty watery and thin. straw colour, wet straw aroma. pretty bland, cheap though.

[at the Cardinal, London] -Pale yellow color, not a huge nose of any sort I can discern. Rather thin on the palate. Great session beer.

[Keg at the Shoulder of Mutton, Bradford.] Starw with a thick white head, heavily carbonated; damp hay aroma; corn syrup sweetness; reasonable grassy hops.

Keg, Anchor Tap, London. Pale gold, white head with some good stick. Light grassy/herbal hop aroma, touch of sour lager malt. Pleasant grassy hop flavor, soft bready malt. Crisp carbonation. If Samuel Smith is going to persist with not serve their beers from the cask, then keg is sooo much better than nitro. This was actually pretty pleasant. Vastly better than the nitro Brewery Bitter I also tried.

Enjoyed the décor and interior at the great Cittie of Yorke in Holborn much more than this half pint of pale lager. Sparkling and fizzy stuff with little taste. Clear, amber body. More like a soft drink than a beer (09.08.2008).

As virtually all the other ratings say this is "rank stuff". A sort of buy now pay later larger. Tastes of cat, metallic taste, no good for hair of dog either. I had four points of this over 2 hours on a Saturday night, it made me feel quite rough for 2 days after. The only good thing is it is cheap, but saving £1 per pint to feel rough is certyainly not worth it. Avoid.

Kag as a 4.5 vertion of the taddy lager in the 78. Aroma is biscuity and pale malts, slightly metallic edge. Taste is similar not much goiung on but inoffensive.
