I’ve been drinking this on off for years at Sam Smiths pubs in london. Up until now it didn’t occur to me that I should rate it as it is fairly rank stuff. Flat, orange and smelling faintly of chemicals it alwys tastes slightly watered down. The Man In A Box pump top seems to have dissappeared which is a shame as it was the best thing about this dish water.

A Mes rate: Tap at the Princess Louise.
Pale gold with a thin white head. Very metallic, slight hops, papery and a nasty finish. Bland and crap.

Keg at The Cardinal London SW1 5 Feb 08. Pale golden colored. A lasting white head. Aroma? Disgusting flavor of cardboard.

Keg @ York Arms, november 07. Shinny golden color with a medium white head and a very sparky carbonatation. Skunky aroma with some grainy notes and very slight hay notes. Light mouthfeel, uncomfortable filthy feeling with a sick sweet aftertaste. Skunky/ grassy aroma on the verge of offensiveness. Sad, poorly brewed pale lager.

Draught, many London locations. A perfectly good lager, one of the few I can actually drink, and far better than the usual stuff you get on the lager taps. Very thin head, crisp and refreshing flavour. Sure, it’s a lager, but for a lager it’s not half bad.

Draught in London. Had this awhile ago actually... but as I remember it, nothing special to look at (light golden with little head), but the taste was incredibly refreshing. Not much else you can ask of a pale lager really.

Draught @ the Chandos. Yellow colour pour with thin white head. Sweet aroma also fruity / hoppy. Taste is crisp and refreshing. Slightly sweet finish. Pretty drinkable and decent beer.

At the Citte of Yorke. Brassy color with a light head. Starts fresh, light malt, clean flavor. Light hop at the finish. A damn decent lager.
