Pint in the Waterguard, Cardiff. Fruity lager with a thin white head. Clear golden colour. Nice refreshing hoppy taste. Good for a lager.

A yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with slight notes of caramel and hops. The flavor is sweet malty with a crisp hoppiness. Nothing special, but very easily drinkable.

Keg at The Cardinal, Westminster. A big pint of nothingness except a slight acidity coming from the carbonated fizz. Entirely bereft of aroma or flavour, its difficult to imagine a blander beer. The upside of that is that there is no adjuncty element to the aroma, or off flavours. To the extent that its not downright offensive, it must score higher than the same brewery’s Sovereign Bitter. I can’t imagine I’ll ever drink this again.

Tap at Kings Arms, York: Aroma of sweet cereal type grains. yellow and very fizzy. Seemed to be a beer for the masses it was what everyone was drinking at the pub. flavor was lots of grainy type cereal with little hops. thin palate. no too great, but okay.

Tap. Dark golden with little film head. Mildly hoppy aroma. Taste is okay with a little fruit and a touch of bitterness.

On draught @ the Anchor Tap, Tower Bridge.
After having a laugh at the fact every item in this bar, from the beer to the spirits and soda, is made by S. Smith I proceeded to order the worst available beer on tap. It looks like Coors in the glass with a similar thin, soapy pad that struggled to last the distance. Stale hops and CO2 aroma, so virtually lifeless even with the fizz. Light, gassy palate that is dry and cardboardy aside from a feint note of castor sugar, and some raspy, grassy hops in back make sure it finishes of crisp. Becomes soapy as it warms, as with every other dry lager out there, so it must be consumed quickly and preferably amongst groups of plebs and antisocial thugs who favour long drawn-out hangovers. Inoffensive, but bland as all hell.

Draught@Princess Louise, Holborn, London. Pale golden color, small white head. Mild grassy hoppy, cardboard malty nose. Buttery, mildly hoppy German-type pils. Some hops linger in the aftertaste after buttery malty start.

I thought I already had tasted it, but it was really refreshing, not very German, but very sweet in some features.
