A Mes rate: Tap at some Smiths pub in Soho. Aparently medium dry. Balls it’s sweet if you ask me. Only thing dry about it is the finish. yeah yeah.

A pale yellow cider with no head. The aroma is sweet and dominated by apples, and so is the flavor, leading to a dry end. OK cider.

Golden yellow without head. Weak apple aroma. Low carbonated with a mild and quite bitter-sour taste.

Keg at The Three Goats Head, Oxford. Gold colour, no head. Well, for my 2,500th rating I get a Cider, how fair is that, and not a real cider to boot, but a commercial keg variety. Having said that, it is not the worst I have had, there is some dry fruitiness and a sharp peel edge to it, but then there is the dreaded gas. I should have marked it lower I suppose, but it is a landmark. Say what you will about Sam Smiths brews, which are average to the extreme, but by god they know how to look after our pub heritage. I hadn’t been in this one for a few years, but it is fantastic, Art Deco ceilings, wood and brass all buffed up a real picture. Visit if you can.

[bottle from brewery] smells of real apples, a little sweet but it has a light spritzy body which made it a decent thirst quencher.

very nice natural apple flavour, with very nice carbonation, would like to try again as one of the best ciders iv had along with westons.

a pretty average cider, very apple-y and generally too sweet for my own tastebuds, though during summers can be a nice and very refreshing change
