Samuel Smiths Extra Stout

On tap at the Cittie of York, London 13/10/09. Deep, dark brown with reddish hints and a creamy, off-white nitro head. Aroma of coffee and dark chocolate. Flavour had more of the same, if more pronounced and a lingering dry finish. Good.

Clear dark dark red brown color with a average to large, creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark roasted, burnt, coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090803]

Cask at the Boot Inn in Chester, UK. Chocolatey malt aroma. Opaque dark brown with a creamy very light tan. Thin and light with a potent bitter roast finish.

Cask @ The Crown, London. Black colour, tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, bbq, tobacco. Flavour is roasted malts, hints of coffee and tobacco. Nice one.

Apperance; almost black with a big head. Aroma; Roasted malt with a light sweet bitter aftertaste.

Bottle from Cracked Kettle. Black body. Healthy head. Malty nose. Taste of chocolate and malts. A very sweet finish.
