Cask Conditioned at Duke of Argyll, London
Black color, creamy head. Quite good Stout, mixing a fairly strong roasted malt character with a creamy touch. The final has a sharp roasted malt in it. Good.

Draught. Pours dark opaque, with off-white head. Heavily roasted malts on the nose, with chocolate and yeast notes. Quite bitter on the palate, of medium mouthfeel, with something of a tail to the taste. Not bad.

Draught at the Sun In September, Manchester. Looks like Guinness with a tan head. The richness of the head suggests nitrokeg. Reasonable aroma of roast malt which comes through in the pleasant initial flavour. Decent body, if somewhat thin. Unfortunately, the pint I had left an unpleasant tang in the aftertaste. I will try it again at a different venue (although the Sun is well-kept) and re-rate if necessary. Shame about the finish.

underwhelmed - Very Guinness-ish. I dfon’t the water bubbles of it. Tasted like it might be off - but then I remembered - Guinness... Nothing really differnet in this drop - just a little bitterer... Disappointing - Samuel Makes killer drops... The Best Engish (b)eer in fact.

Tap @ some Soho pub, London.
Pours deep brown with an extremely fine, creamy off-white head. Much like a Guinness, the duration of this head is truly magnificent. Aroma is soft, mostly chocolate and light roasted malts. Light carbonation - fine creaminess. Flavour is lovely roasted, good chocolate and a very nice dryness and cocoa finish. Lovely stout.

Draught at Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese, Temple, London. Pours black with creamy, light tan head. Roasted malts, dry coffee, cocoa, earthy finish. Another good effort from the Samuel Smith Brewery

Near black colored with red hints. Medium sized beige head. Rich roasted and coffee aroma with nice chocolaty tone. Medium bodied. Flavor is also very soft creamy with rich roastiness and fine sweet chocolate. Aftertaste dries, still with this chocolate. Slightly watery palate.

Draught at The Cock and Hen Fulham 4 Feb 08. Black as coal with a creamy head. Aroma of coffee. A bit watery impression but traces of roasted malt. A mild stout.
