| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 12, 2008 Had this in the bottle at the French Laundry in Fenton, MI. Well, I had heard really good things about this, and every thing I hear was spot on! With stout being my second favorite style, I hold pretty high standards, and this met all of them! It’s aroma, flavor, mouthfeel, and overall experience were up and above what I expected. It pours an opaque brownish/black with a great 2 finger light brown head. The flavor is of roasted coffee and dark chocolate, with that classic maltiness on the finish. A very British take on a fantastic style of beer. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Sep 7, 2008 Crushed with Jakebra. Not one to take lightly. Port wine on the nose and in the flavor, but then the finish gives way to a whole other universe, which is pretty much indescribable unless you try it for yourself. Definitely awesome.
