NICE HEAD! pours jet black. Very aromatic, rich and pronounced at first taste. Nutty bitter chocolate but smooth flavored. Has a complex essence which as weird as it may sounds, a previous users used banana as a comparison. Might be right, but more like a banana drenched with burnt caramel. It took me a while to find this beer and when i did, it didn’t meet expectations. B-

12 ounce bottle- poured out black and viscous with a great tan head that stuck around and laced the glass all the way through. Aroma was coffee and toasted malt. Flavor filled the mouth with bitter, bitter chocolate and coffee. A slightly thicker body would have improved the palate score. Over-all: excellent.

Bottle. Pours out dark brown and thick. Has a small fizzy head.Aroma of tin and coffee. Palate has hits of espresso and chocolate, but a bitter aftertaste. Was not my favorite beer at all.

Bottle...dark brown to black body with a light brown head...slight metal aroma on 1st pour then it goes away on a nice swirl and changes into a warm chocolate yum, mixed with a hint of banana....slightly creamy body, yet crisp...leaves a sugar film on the inside of the teeth (this is somewhat unpleasant)...a bite of alcohol taste....some bitter thin chocolate...which is tasty...toffee in the finish, but it tastes tainted with metal...just ok ....finish has a strong alcohol presence

Pour was very nice, black with light brown head. Slight aroma of oak, roasted malts and some vanilla? Taste was less bitter than most of this style, and had some distinct oak flavors when I got further into it. All around nice brew.

My first Imperial Stout...but not my last. Poured as dark as I had hoped, though the head was a bit disappointing (barely existent). Aroma is huge! Coffee, barley, and everything under the sun. Taste is powerful but smooth. Caramel, burnt chocolate, and coffee...and expect the flavors to linger on the palate for some time. This stout is heavy but beautiful. Though I could only drink one at a sitting, this beer is quite good.

Black with a dense grey head. Aroma of dark bread, liquorice, coughing juice and sauce. The flavour is bitter-sweet and dominated by liquorice all the way through - in fact it gets kind of one sided...

Aroma: amazing, black syrup, wort, pumpernickel, liquorice, soy. Powerful, sourish, vaguely smoky.
Flavour: nicely balanced between malty full-bodiedness, liquorice sweetness & hoppy bitterness.
Appearance: warm brown towards black with lovely thick, creamy head (yellow tan).
Palate: smooth, creamy, good - moderate - carbonation.
