It comes from the stone fermenting vessels and the water from that region. This beer shares a taste similar to their nut brown, of course with a distinct imperial stout flavor as well. ciuspan (94), Hillerød, Denmark

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 22, 2008 Imperial means "suck" right?, or i mean runy stinky shits in the morning. Pours dark brown almost black. Too big of a dark tan foa m head to be practical without wasting beer. Smells like sweet, darkly roasted, barley malts. Tastes liquidy, slightly warming, which is kinda nice, link dark malts, that are mild enough to enjoy. Slight carbonated mouthfeel. Dark chocolate, cofee, toffee undertones. Not bad actually, if you’re drinking your desert, or having your taddy, after your dark chocolate, raspberry doohickie., NosirIwont (1168), Aalborg Vestby, Denmark
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours pitch black with a big brown head. Sweet aroma. Dry. Roasted malt. Tar. As it warms it develops notes of apple which mixes with the roast and tar. A bit weird. Notes of coffee as well as fruity notes also develops, which makes it resemble a strong ale or a bock. Flavour is sweet with roasted malt. Wood. Faint licorice notes. Finish is much like the initial flavour but without the wooden notes. Lingering apple notes and notes of filled chocolate. Nice palate. 20-03-08. Chapel (330), Levittown, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 20, 2008 Pours dark brown (not quite black) with a very non-imperial off-white/tan head. Flavor and aroma are rather chocolate and alcohol, but something about this strikes me as more similar to a dry stout instead of an imperial stout. Fukito (604), Buenos Aires, Argentina
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 20, 2008 Bottle, february 08. Beatifull opaqe black color with a nice, creamy, beige/ brown head. Very nice, raisiny butterscotch tofee, burnt sugar aroma. Fruity, toasty, raisins flavors with a touch of bitter chocolate and plums. Comforting. Medium mouthfeel, warming, silky with a nice, bitter/ fruity aftertaste. Nice, gentle, fruity imperial stout. acearl (211), J-Town, Pennsylvania, USA
