Not as full bodied or complex as I was expecting. Roasted malt and a little bit of chocolate pretty much sums up the taste. No hops or alcohol presence. Watery finish. Very dissapointing. KieferUGA (461), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jan 18, 2008 500 ml bottle. Pours a dark black. Thin, dark tan head. Aroma of licorice, roasted coffee, dark chocolate. Palate is a bit watery. The flavor is nice and creamy, with notes of roasted malt, soy sauce. Slightly bittter finish. mixinnixon2000 (227), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jan 16, 2008 the aroma is the best part. pours with little head that stays on the side of the glass roast is the most prominant flavor Collint (450), Sylva, North Carolina, USA Jan 12, 2008 Awesome beer, Thanks Tikie. Very dark beer, tan head. It taste very robust and bitter. Almost a little bit of choco. Very nice beer. would do it again! TikiE (360), Sylva, North Carolina, USA Jan 12, 2008 Tasty!!!! Nice real dark color with a nice robust chocolate stout taste! The smell is glorious with a malty chocolate smell. One of my favorite imperial stouts! RSRIZZO (1345), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jan 12, 2008 Aroma is deep, rich and sweet almost like a Barley Wine. Color is solid black with good carbonation and a tight tan head. Taste is roasted and sweet. It starts with a full body that goes down with a rich smooth feel. Finish comes in sweet raisin like taste, mellow roasted flavors then a very faint bitterness. In the after taste the raisin lingers a bit then fades to a chocolate taste. This is just an amazing Imp. Stout, its soo rich and flavorful that its almost like a Barley Wine. Its hard to believe its only 7% alcohol.
