Bottle 08-04-06. Pours black, liquorice roasty and chocolate flavours dominate and there is a nice slightly sticky quaility to this very agreeable number.

Black, nice brownish head.Aroma from coffe and cocoa, sour but in a pleasant way. Flavor is bitter and from coffee, tar and cocoa. Great creamy palate and a hoppy, bitter finish.

bottle from Tuckers Maltings. Dark brown colour with a small beige-brown head. Malty nose. Intensively malty, with lovely complex flavours of raisins, caramel, toffee, bitter chocolate and coffee. Lingering finish. A delicious beer.

550 ml bottle poured a nearly opaque reddish black with a lasting brown head. Aromas of plum, licorice, cocoa, raisins and a bit of coffee. Palate was light bodied. Flavors of dark fruits, licorice, bitter chocolate, some coffee notes and a hint of smoke with a smooth lingering chocolate finish.

Bottle. Pours totally black with a huge creamy light-brown head -- looks awesome. Wonderful aroma of caramel malt, roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and fruit. Flavour of lots of chocolate and roasted malt, some coffee, nuts and a nice welcome bitterness at the end -- delicious! Barely no sign of the 7% alcohol. Full bodied and creamy. A great winter warmer and an outstanding Stout.
