Leaving massive lacing. Aroma is a very rich sweet chocolate and coffee. Delicious. Taste is a bit different. The coffee is there but a bit more bitter. Almost a sour slant. A bit of a let down from the aroma. Not quite as full and rich as I was hoping but still very good. Aftertaste is smoke and coffee and the feel is soft and silky.
One of my faves. MrBunn (1542), Western, Pennsylvania, USA

Pour is a dark brown with about two fingers of head and aromas of balsamic vinegar and sweet and roasted malt. From the aromas I’m a little apprehensive... but flavor comes through nicely. Loads of chocolate malt with a very full balance across the palate. Very nice, but fairly straight forward for an impy stout. hellbilly (1532), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 16, 2007 sweet malt aroma. flavor is also malty with molasses and hints of smoky aged soy sauce. it has a nice metallic acidity and a slight alcohol burn. reminds me of a full bodied porter rather than an imperial stout.
