Deep black with dark brown head. Aroma of molasses and plums, red grapes. Reminiscent of port. Rich velvety moutfeel, totally decadent. Finish is malty, fruity and sweet. Delicious.

Excellent stout, black in color, tan head, thin edge laced around the glass, nose of roasted grain & burnt chocolate, smooth & drinkable, great mouthfeel, lots of roasted & deep flavors, dry & bitter finish, nice balance, very drinkable beer, nice stout

Poured very dark, with a light, tan coloured head. Aroma is chocolate with some liquorice. Flavour is chocolate, roast, and dry bitter at the end. Thick bodied, very smooth. Excellent stout.

Bottle 62F poured very dark brown with a thick tan head that has retreated to a film that will not go away. Leaving massive lacing. Aroma is a very rich sweet chocolate and coffee. Delicious. Taste is a bit different. The coffee is there but a bit more bitter. Almost a sour slant. A bit of a let down from the aroma. Not quite as full and rich as I was hoping but still very good. Aftertaste is smoke and coffee and the feel is soft and silky. One of my faves.

Bottle. Pour is a dark brown with about two fingers of head and aromas of balsamic vinegar and sweet and roasted malt. From the aromas I’m a little apprehensive... but flavor comes through nicely. Loads of chocolate malt with a very full balance across the palate. Very nice, but fairly straight forward for an impy stout.

sweet malt aroma. flavor is also malty with molasses and hints of smoky aged soy sauce. it has a nice metallic acidity and a slight alcohol burn. reminds me of a full bodied porter rather than an imperial stout.

En bouteille. Arome légèrement fruité, très bon goût de malt roti et de fruit. Prèsque pas amère. C’est bon!

(Bottle at Tuulensuu, Tampere, on 2008-10-04) Almost black. Large tan coloured long lasting head. Roasted malts and metallic earthy aromas in nose. Full bodied and a bit watery palate with lots of carbonation. Metallic flavours, roasted malts, coffee and liquorice in taste. Long lasting aftertaste with bitter and roasty flavours.
