| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 12, 2009 Very dark pour with tan head. Aroma of chocolate milk, some dark fruits, a bit of coffee and roast. A sour note. Burnt chocolate milk flavor. Thin mouthfeel, thats probably a result of the filtering and pasteurization. It’s not a drainpour, but it’s definitely not something I’d want again. Lou18 (1353), West Paterson, New Jersey, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 20, 2005 This was always around, but I needed a push from RICH, and I am glad he did. Dark body with nice tan haed, left good lacing as it setteled. The flavor was raosted and caramel, but, there was something lacking. Do not get me wrong. I liked this, but, there was just something, off, not 100% , ya know? Doppelganger (1353), Dry County, Arkansas, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 24, 2005 Pours dark coffee/red with a big cap of creamy tan head. Lingering viscous skim of foam and nice lacing down the sides of the glass. Very buttery aroma, with mild chocolate and understated coffee/roasts. Flavors of coffee, baker’s chocolate, and a bit of burnt toast. Subtle lingering chocolate bitterness and a buttery coating on the lips. Very creamy and mouthfilling, like a cup of hot chocolate. (Though not sweet like that.) This was a great find! Something I have seen on the shelf and thought about trying for a long time, and now finally got to it. A quirky and very delicious stout. My only complaint is that it isn’t quite big enough to stand up to a strong blue cheese--one of my favorite stout pairings. It seems to taste stronger than the modest ABV would indicate, until paired with food. On it’s own though--brilliantly good. JohnnyJ (1350), Carlsbad, California, USA

Herbal flavors of chocolate and fruit with some coffee. Some roasty flavors. Good, but I’m not a huge fan if Samuel Smiths. Furseth (1333), Kungälv, Sweden
