Bottled, 330 ml, pasteurised. Black as yer ’at with cream collar. Tongue coating sweetness interlaced with a burnt, roasted malt and fruit and then a sweet yeasty alcohol. rich and smooth, some caramel notes giving extra depth, port like sherry notes too. Not perhaps as complex as I am making out here, but certainly a fine beer.

Bottle: Literally black, small fluffy tanned head, distinctive chocolatey and roast-malty nose, supported by sourish cacao; stronger, not too dry bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; lingering, almost smooth finish with aromas of milk coffee, chocolate and dried fruits. Good, good, good.......

Roasted chocolate malt feathers going down to rest in a puddle of molasses...Berry wine vapors and rich licorice intermingled with great chocolate, finishing in a bitter roastiness...Full-bodied for its size, very complex sweetness and fruitiness...A truly great stout...

22 oz. Bottle. Pours a dark black with a brown finger width head that sticks around for a while. Tastes strongly of chocolate, raisins, prunes and coffee.

Dark dark colour. A chocolate white head, that last quite a bit. What a delicious aroma. Notes of cocoa and coffee. The flavour is brilliant. Again its coffee that comes to my mind, and some damned good one. As in good columbian coffee it has a pleasant touch of bitterness in the aftertaste. Its overall very well-balanced. This is absolutely a 'to drink again and again and again ...'-beer.

550 ml bottle. Pitch black beer with a large lasting light brown head. Rich chocolate aroma with a prominant coffee aroma. As it warms, even more sweet malty aroma come to the front, especially caramel, toffee, and vanilla. Flavour is also sweet milk chocolate and coffee on the front with a nice molasses and licorice flavours before fading into a roasty, slightly smokey finish. The finish has some faint bitterness and leaves a nice long vanilla flavour. This brew is as smooth as silk and incredibly delicious.

Pours dark, with small dark brown head which grows slowly downward. Smell is of fruit : plums or apricots. Roasted taste, almost too sweet. Finish is grainy and full.
