550ml bottle from LCBO. Deep black, large creamy off white head. Aroma: Some coffee and chocolate - however quite muted, sweetness and cinnamon too. Flavour: wonderful - Kenyan coffee, mild milk chocolate, light carbonation, slight alcohol detected too, just a fantastically well balanced and enjoyable beer. A nice long coffee finish. Very very enjoyable I shall be stocking up on some of these for the winter.

Bottle from WLV, Chicago. Opaque black with huge, long lasting, billowing light tan head that settles to a nice burnt tan color. Aroma is sweet dough, slight roasted malt, some dark fruit, very nice. Flavor is cherry, roast, dark chocolate, light whipped cream and smoke. Full and creamy body. This beer is a lot better than I thought it was going be, very nice.

Beer in clear glass bottles, I LIKE IT! Beauty full color with a lighter brown head that doesnt last forever; The nose aint all that great, it grows with time in the glass, though. It is fruity, red berry-like and becomes ocean, sushi-like (strange and not great, either), this (off cause) together with coffee, chocolate, but clearest of all cheap tawny port and a little sharpness from alcohol; The body aint all that full and quite bitter, it has a nice oily texture, though; It finishes of bitter, soft and quite long with coffee, chocolate and malt. I am disappointed!

Wonderful malt aroma with hints of roasted grain, dard chocolate, coffee, and a hint of smoke. Beer pours dark chocolate with a light brown head which is fully diminishing. There is very little lacing with this brew. Multiple layers of flavor start with moderate sweetness and is followed by a smoky finish which is fairly long lasting. Very good.

Pours a dark dark brown with basically no head. Aroma was pretty sweet, mainly of chocolate. Flavor was also very sweet with some coffee notes. More like a sweet stout than imperial to me.

Beautiful, deep dark color. Good sized head with nice lacing. Multi-dimensional aroma of coffee, licorice, caramel and molasses. Equally interesting taste with the roasted chocolate malts setting the tone. Smooth, lasting malt aftertaste.

Dark black, opaque pour with a medium brown head. Roasted Sumatran coffee, dark chocolate and rum aromas with some caramel and whole vanilla bean. Some raisin and molasses noted as well. Lots of raisin, and especially prune on the tongue minus the spice. Dark fruits linger on the palate in a malty, chocolate finish. Black curant smack. Multi-faceted, but a little on the thin side overall.
