I really wanted to like this, and it is interesting as an artifact, I just don’t like the overwhelming sherry flavor/aroma that I get from these. I will resample this

Brown sugar, chocolate, smokey, coffee. Quite a nice mix of sweet and bitter. Somewhat thin mouthfeel. Really a tasty brew, but lose the damn clear bottle! Rerate: Upon retrying this I realized that the flavor was much nicer than I had originally given it credit for and the mouthfeel was a bit fuller than I remembered.

Deep Deep red brown translucent with large tan head. Predominantly roasted malt aroma with very interesting hints of dried fruits, port wine, bakers and vegemite yeasts. Medium very smooth fully stimulating body. Bold roasted malt, complex vinous and coffee flavours. Light surprising sparkling lifting medium bitter roasted finish. There's a faint chemical note on the front of the tongue about this one I can't quite place - kind of an acetone or bootpolish? Nevertheless a great way to wrap up the night rating beer with CapFlu and Kasta at Pub Italia in Ottawa.

A classic. Strong taste of coffee mixed with light malty sweetness. If you can find this beer fresh its a real treat.

Bottle poured black with a nice chocolate but fast dissapating head. Faint but clean roasty aroma. Flavor is great with a medium heavy body with malty Robust roasted flavors of coffee, chocolate, very good.

This stouts’ sweet overtones complement its coffee taste

Beautiful black stout with dark brown lacing but no real head. Nose of sweet malt, hops, and cocoa. Taste of sweet malt, hops, cocoa, bitter espresso, with a bitter hop finish to counter the sweetness. Mouth feel is a bit thin for an imperial stout; not surprising, since at 7% ABV this is more a session beer than an imperial. With American IPAs coming in at close to 10% and imperial stouts coming in at over 15%, this is sort of a session imperial!
