Yum, it has a distinct licorish taste, dark, with head. It is a good Imperial ale.

Excellent beer. Very thick and chocolaty. Feels like velvet in your mouth. Highly recommend. Plus, not too strong for an imperila stout.

Just loved it. Solid black, with a great flavour. Felt great in my mouth and left a really nice aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours a dark black with a hint of red. Nice, tall, dark tan head. Big caramel and coffee aromas. Smells sweet. Mild, fine carbonation. Some fig, roasted malt, caramel, a touch of alcohol, and a hint of chocolate on the palate. Nice bitterness and a rich mouthfeel. Finishes very clean. This is a really good stout but not as big as some you might see these days. That being said, I would actually have more than one of these!

Exceptionally good stout but not an imperial one at least in my opinion. Fruity smell has something smoky about it, the taste is richly fruity and I love the chewy malts on this one. Nicely full bodied and sweet in a perfect way. World class stuff, the brits can surely make a good stout! Some finnish blogger calling this metallic has no bloody clue what he is talking about.

550 ml, pours deep dark brown with an excellent tan creamy head that sticks around a while. Roasted Coffee aroma with a slightly oily feel on the palate. Alcohol shows through towards the end with an excellent slightly dry finish.

Dark brown with little to no head. Smells of raisins, roasted nuts, chocolate, and coffee. Flavor is balanced but could have been a little more complex. Fantastic and easy drink. Highly recommended.
