La ho portata su da Dude e ce la siamo asciugata in un baleno, mangiando qualcosa di molto buono che però non mi ricordo come mai?. Che delizia questa Imperial Stout eheh la avevo già assaggiata al Mulino di Villaromagnano. Slipstream (785), USA

Can hear the ocean when it pours - a good sign, in my opinion. There is some sourness in the sweet, malty, pungent aroma - some peat and coffee too. The flavor is full and complex - astringent, roasty, and nicely balanced - and it is organic too. I taste grains, espresso, molasses, and grassy hops. Excellent! This is as good an English beer as I have ever had - hats off! And cheers! azlondon (667), Fribourg, Switzerland

Mocha colored head leaves moderate lacing. Aroma is distinctly English, with less chocolate/coffee and more fruit/molasses. Taste echos the nose, with supple dark fruits, berry, sharp molasses, wood, coffee beans. Great complexity and yet so smooth. Easy to drink and well-balanced. fluxman (2), New Hampshire, USA does not count | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | May 27, 2008 It’s been a while since I’ve had one, but I know a fantastic stout when I taste one. I guess the only way I can describe it is complex, smooth, and it leaves you wanting more. I would gladly trade a case of Guinness for a 4 pack of these.
Not so big a fan of Sam Smith’s oatmeal stout, if that tells you anything... Pershing (149), Garland, Texas, USA

Pours black as a moonless night with a short tan head that leaves a good amount of lace. Aroma isn’t too strong but has roasted malts, coffee and a hint of cherry. Wonderfully creamy palate with flavours of mocha, vanilla, almonds and more roasted malt plus a little smokiness in the background. I find Samuel Smith beers can be hit and miss but this is excellent. This stout really raises the bar.
