I absolutely hate stouts, but this was actually really good. This is the only stout that i would drink twice. If it came in a case i would drink the whole thing. Its like a meal in a bottle. Update- i cant believe i didnt like stouts when i first had this, i only had drank mgd and red dog then. So lets do this right, black with a very muddy brown head. Skunked aroma at first, then going into roasted chocolate and nuts. Really creamy, chocolatey, still smooth though, followed with some bitter dark chocolates, very wintery, very smoked, very nice.

A stout of amazing depth and complexity. Pitch black with a small beige head. The flavor has to be tried to be believed: The first impression is that of raisins and plum, and coffeeish roasted malts appear in the middle. The finish is that of a strong, black coffee with no sugar. American micros tend to overhop their imperials, so few have the complexity of this one.

Thank goodness someone wants to brew something other than a guinness want to be. This style of imperial stout needs better distribution. The alcohol while apparent does not dominate.

Very black. Nice tan head that disappears quickly. Slightly sweet with chocolate, coffee, and perhaps a little black licorice. I am not sure about the after taste, though. Over all this is a very good beer.
