The roasted coffee flavor & alcohol was nicley balanced with the hops and malt. You can just taste the alcohol, I wish this were a 10% I imagine it would have been better if it were in a dark bottle.... But still a good buy... crazyvin (1255), New York, USA

UMMMM!!!! Also brown sugar and dark bakers chocolate with a bit of sherry oxidation and alcohol sweetness and red wine like aromas as it warms. Well balanced with a bit of sweetness up front and a semi sweet finish. Chocolate, hints of roast, carmel, toasted malt, raisins, hints of vanilla, red merlot, and a bit of dark grain tartness. The aftertaste is toasted malt and a bit of roast with raisiny undertones. Low carbonation, fuller medium body, and a bit of alcohol warmth, very little. I’m still thinking this is the bench mark for imperial stouts! I like the dark fruit characteristics that American imperials seem to lack even with a bit of aging. I also like the fact that this beer is not dominated by hops!!!! Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA
