Beautiful, deep dark color. Good sized head with nice lacing. Multi-dimensional aroma of coffee, licorice, caramel and molasses. Equally interesting taste with the roasted chocolate malts setting the tone. Smooth, lasting malt aftertaste.

Chocolate, caramel, and porty aroma. Great black color with tan head. Roasted malt, chocolate & Licorice flavors are very rich and full. Great beer though I do like a Oatmeal stout a tad better.

Very dark brown with a lasting tan head.Aroma is subdued, yet chocolatey. Very smooth creamy chocolate-coffee flavor. the chocolate lingers. The roasted barley bitterness becomes more evident as it is consumed. YUMMY!

This is a beautiful beer all the way around. Nice smooth finish preceded by an initial bite that kicked my butt. I can see why this is rumored to be Prince Charles' favorite beer.

Brown sugar, chocolate, smokey, coffee. Quite a nice mix of sweet and bitter. Somewhat thin mouthfeel. Really a tasty brew, but lose the damn clear bottle! Rerate: Upon retrying this I realized that the flavor was much nicer than I had originally given it credit for and the mouthfeel was a bit fuller than I remembered.

Pours oil black with a deep and thick chestnut-brown head. Sweet malt, roasted barley, ripe apples, and oatmeal smell. Sits very full in the mouth. Light tastes of caramel, coffee, and roasted malts and molasses.

Pours black with no head. Aroma is strong and sweet. Dried fig, roasted malt and a little bitter chocolate. Flavor is similar. A very nice bitter roasted aftertaste, like burnt coffee (although this is a good thing). Slight alcohol in the finish helps balance it out. Very nice, but milder than I would expect from an Imperial.

Dark black with a creamy tan head. Great tasting stout with hints of chocolate and coffee.
