| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 23, 2009 A good ale with a moderately hoppy (Goldings and maybe Fuggles if I had to guess) aroma and flavor. Like the pale ale, it is not hoppy in the American sense of the word, as there is still a noticeably malty base to it. There is a slight sourness and herbal nature to this beer, but its so mild you would miss it if you weren’t looking for it. Sparky27 (1608), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 21, 2009 550ml bottle. Pours a clear gold with a dense 3 finger white head that sticks around and leaves delicate lacing. Nose is malt and light floral hops. Taste is malty, grassy hops and a strange lemony-like tartness before finishing slightly bitter. Lighter mouth feel than I expected. An ok beer. Dastrn (115), Warsaw, Indiana, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 20, 2009 poured amber with a small, 1 finger foamy head that quickly dissipated.
the nose was malt and yeast, with a touch of hops present as well.
roasted malt flavor in the front, and a smooth hoppy bitterness in the back. mouthfeel is incredibly smooth.
WAY better than I expected, and I had high expectations! Not a hop-bomb like a lot of IPAs that are trying too hard. Just right! berkshirejohn (1830), Bracknell, Berkshire, England
