Nov 21, 2008 This wasn’t too bad. Had a mild hoppy flavor for an IPA. More of a bitter flavor than most IPA’s I’ve had before. Does have a nice golden color to it. Wasn’t all too overly impressed by this one.

Nov 21, 2008 The India Ale has a mild hop aroma. Its’ flavor begins with hop base which gives way to an underlying maltiness as the beer warms. Very thick texture.

Nov 20, 2008 Bottle from total wine. Nice orange pour with a nice white head. Aroma is nice and malty with a great background of sweet, floral hops. And flavor is much the same. Very tame and smooth. I really like English style IPA’s. Nice.

Nov 20, 2008 550ml bottle, BB unreadable.
Pours a nice clean copper body with dense offwhite head that clings to the glass all the way down.
In-your-face hops on the nose; marmaladey bitter orange and lemon, earthy leafiness and spice, some biscuity toffee malt in the background all very typical of an English bitter, though i’d say the hops are definately very well pronounced.
Smooth body with a low-to-moderate carbonation almost reminisant of a cask ale. Slight chewiness to the malt, with the bitter component drying in a way that sets the balance of the beer very well.
Juicy citrus on the body; orange juice mixed with grapefruit, some unripe stonefruit and woody spice. Biscuity malt is in there, some toffee sweetness, but hops definately win this battle. Finish is drawn out only slightly, lingering citrus peel and bitterness.
In comparison to other bottled English bitters i’ve tried here downunder, this would probably have to be the best to date. Fresh hops, well balanced and pleasant. Very nice!

Nov 18, 2008 Pours a deep orange color with an oily white head that laces smoothly. Aroma is lots of floral hops with notes of citrus and a hint of oak. Taste is bicuity with a sweet, slightly bitter finishes. Smooth and sessionable with lingering sour orange in the flavor.

Nov 18, 2008 Crushed with Jakebra. Yeah, we got some nast on the nose. More in the flavor. Not crazy about it at all. Some hop bitterness but no flavor. Bummer.
