| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 26, 2008 Bottle @ Mallaskukko, Turku. Clear amber, thick pale head. Caramel malty nose, simple grassy hops. Flavor is much more hopped w/ biscuit maltiness, little toffee caramel and quite nice fruity hops, though the maltiness comes up front. Herbal bitterness in the finish Medium bodied, very smooth palate. Emphasing on the caramel maltiness, it’s a nice ESB. Trev (886), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 21, 2008 Bottle. Poured a light brown with no little to no head. Had a sweet hop and malt nose. The mouthful was on the thin side, but very smooth. Nice refreshing beer, with subtle hop flavors. Pretty well balanced, with some light carbonation. Nice dry finish. Clearly different from american ipa’s due to the english hops. Mild but good. Arayaga2 (981), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 16, 2008 Nice clear chestnut color with minimal white head. Aroma is a bit doggy and sweet with diacetyl. Taste is flat out not even really british ipa... very grainy, not so hoppy with odd roasty undertones and diacetyl, especially in the finish. $3/550ml hoppopotamus (186), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 14, 2008 A copper beer with a large off-white head that doesn’t last. The aroma is mostly a bready maltiness with some spicy hops, it smells not unlike a European pilsner. The flavor is a fairly bland maltiness with a touch of hops. Very watery texture. I know it’s technically an ESB, but I can’t resist the clear IPA slant the label clearly boasts. Sorry, Brits, but let’s leave IPA’s to the colonies. BeerBaron617 (307), Novi, Michigan, USA
