Clear amber color, nice white head. Aroma is suprisingly hoppy for a english beer. Flavor is mild hops, fruit and caramel malt. Grovlam (3810), Copenhagen, Denmark

Good display of lacework. Clear flat looking body with a golden colour. Aroma of mild hops, citrus, hint of ash, light fruit, toasted malt, caramel, mild liquorish. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and light dry texture. Moderated bitter and sweet flavour. Light dry and bitter hoppy finish. RedSox2004 (356), Pacific Palisades, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 3, 2008 Very nice redish gold color, one-finger head that remained robust all the way through. Hops were evident in the aroma, but not like other IPAs. Caramel and spices were also there. Very well-balanced sweetness and bitterness on the tongue. Caramel swetness wins over floral hops, but both are terrific. Could be a lesson in how to taste a beer. Medium bodied, lively carbonation, smooth with a dry aftertaste. Not the hops-dominated IPA I was expecting, but another outstanding effort from this brewery. crowderm (282), Recklinghausen, Germany
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 2, 2008 Pours a nice light reddish gold with a good looking thin white head. Nice lacing. The aroma is pretty malty, with some hoppy funk. The flavor is bizarre. The beer is decently hoppy, but not like anything I’ve ever tasted before. Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated/full. Decent brew, but not something I would go out of my way to drink. Pretty unique. Maybe not in a good way. Go with the oatmeal stout fo sho. BMan1113VR (2884), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 30, 2008 Crappy as an IPA, did all the hops die? Pours with a large, rocky, off-white head covering a clear, copper body. Aroma is of light floral hops. Taste eis bitter and a bit watery. Nice balanced mouthfeel. A disappointment. tnkw01 (197), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Apr 23, 2008 Slight smell of orange. Golden pour, medium cream colored head, nice lacing. Little flavor other than a generic bitterness and some light grain on the palate. Horribly disappointing. Clearly not an IPA as it says on the bottle. In fact, it tastes more like a lager to me.
