| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 6, 2008 Aroma is mainly floral hops with a slight malt background. Nice flavor of malt and hops with a bitter finish. Not too bad, but what you would normally think of as an IPA. acearl (218), J-Town, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 3, 2008 Darker pour, amber to rust brown hue, frothy head, not hoppy for an IPA, realizing its a more original true IPA or from ratebeer’s description A Premium Bitter/ESB, underwhelmingly hoppy compared to American style, metallic taste, excellent compliment to a mushroom barkley soup though. dm9831 (1167), Monee, Illinois, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 16, 2008 Pours a cloudy amber color with a not too large head that leaves consistent lacing. Really nice malty aroma. Taste is pretty complex. There is a hoppy finish with some bitterness and a reallly nice malty taste up front. Well-balanced and pretty unique. I approve even though it is a misnomer. mcart034 (35), Manassas, Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Feb 15, 2008 Golden/amber color. Malty aroma. Big malt flavor but surprisingly light mouth feel. Finished bitter. A decent beer for an ESB, however not one of my favorites.
