| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 19, 2008 Bottle, bought @ Oeltorvet.dk. Pours a great, clear amber with a big frothy white head. Aroma is a little nutty, some caramel and a good dose of hops, pine, grassy and flowery. Low to medium carbonation, very creamy. Flavour is lightly metallic, a good deal of caramel sweetness as well as a terrific dry, slightly hot bitterness at the end. ketchepillar (485), Des Moines/Grinnell, Iowa, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 11, 2008 Pours amber w/ a two finger head, which mostly recedes. Aroma is malty sweet and a bit nutty. Piney/earthy hops intermingle, but not to that extent which the name India Ale would suggest. The nuttiness coming through in the flavor adds some welcome complexity to the palate of an otherwise ordinary bitter, while still maintaining a clean enough profile to keep the drinkability where one would want it for this style. The hop presence is mostly subdued in the nose and palate, but comes in with medium strength in the finish; simultaneously, some malt sweetness steps in, keeping the finish from drying out too much. awwshiz (76), USA

The aftertaste finishes fast and has ample hoppiness. sneagrams3 (1759), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Granted, I’m used to American IPA’s. Still, it was great with a Barley and Beer stew!! Parrothead (187), Ephrata, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 29, 2007 Big bottle. Pours a huge rocky white head that stands up. Slightly hazing, golden orange color. Wonderful hop nose! Plenty of malt flavor, but well offset by hop bitterness. Not as puckery as most IPAs that I have had - but then again, it’s labeled an "India Ale", and listed as a "premium Bitter/ESB". Very drinkable. Wish I had a plate of bangers ’n mash to go with this beer.
