Clear amber in color with a thin persistent layer of white head. A light malty aroma is present, but the aroma is pretty muted overall. The taste is pretty much the same. A mild biscuity taste with a faint suggestion of some earthy hops. Pretty low-key even for an ESB. Still, a very clean and drinkable brew.

12oz Bottle: Clear coppery amber w/ a huge off-white head that leaves some great lacing behind. Mostly malts in the aroma w/ some spicy hops hanging in there. First taste: this beer is smooth, what I’ve come to expect from Sam Smith. Flavor is caramel malts w/ some spiciness. Not aggressively hopped, smoooooth...Very light hoppiness in the finish. I’m so used to super hoppy IPA’s that this seems very mild. Very smooth (I know I’ve said that about sixteen times here) & quite tasty.

550 ml Bottle: Poured a deep dark amber color with a thick head. Aroma is mild with a hint of hop. This is a remarkably smooth beer.

Mild aroma of spices and hops.. pours with a very small white head that vanishes immediately... taste is spicy but does not have much hops... slightly weak finish

A solid beer, poured from a bottle with a thick head. This beer was really not what I expected and there was very little hop flavor. I thought it was an average beer. I probably wouldn’t buy it again.

Pours copper color, nice looking, rapidly diminished head. Malty aroma, only a hint of hops. Not really the kind of IPA im used to, I would’ve prefered more hops, but overall a nicely balanced beer. Would recommend.

pours a reddish Amber with small white head. Aroma is a light malt with a hint of flower. The taste is has moderate bitterness. Aftertaste could use a bit more bitterness.
