Bottle. Golden color with small white head. Slight aroma of hops but, not overwhelming. Nice flavor of malt with balanced hop bitterness. Good mouthfeel. Although I prefer the aggressive hoppiness of American IPA’s, I thought this was very flavorful and very drinkable.

From bottle : Pours clear medium dark yellow, with small foamy white that that dies. Nice lacing around the glass. A very prominant bread and yeast and malt smell, with some souredness. Flavor is kinda bland for me. Medium bodied, with a very non-enjoyable rush of bitterness on the way down. Not that great.

Nice clear dark-golden colored beer with a thick and frothy white head. Sweet bready/malty aroma with a bit of green hoppiness. Dominated by sweet malt, loads of caramel and sweet bread, with some of the bitter floral hops coming through. Damn good. Nice full-bodied beer, not too thin, but still very easy to drink. Really good stuff, glad I tried it... I should have done it sooner...

Muddy, leafy, floral elements combine with a rich caramel malt platform to deliver a classic British IPA. Delicious.

Good appearance. Pours to a good head. Disappointed with the flavor though.

Had this beer on 3/28/1998. Color is a deep rich golden brown with good carbonation and very good head. As for the aroma it has me a little worried, there is a slight scent of skunk in it along with a sour smell. Taste, wow is it bitter, it starts off with a light to medium body, as it starts to go down the taste of malt very lightly comes in. finish is a strong bitterness with only a sparse hop flavoring. It’s ok, but not a great IPA.

Pours a rich, clear golden color with a small white head. The aroma is comprised of sweet fruit. The taste is much less fruity than the aroma. The aroma is much more carmel, roasty malts and coffee. This is no ordinary IPA. It has a lot of body, has almost no hop taste, and is not as crisp as many IPAs. A very satisfying beer if you are looking for a beer light in color with a lot of body.
