550 mL bottle. Golden amber with a fizzy white head. Grainy malty aroma. Malty slightly bready taste with little hoppy bitterness for an IPA.

Bottle at home. Amber with a small disappearing head. Aroma moderate malty (caramel) and hoppy. Flavor moderate sweet and bitter. Light body. Could be more hoppy, but wonderful anyway.

a nice IPA that is fitting with the rest of the samuel smith brews. very bitter beer but not over powering. a nice citrus taste but can leave a bit of an acidic taste in your mouth.

Loads of pungent spicy english hops mingling with some great caramel malts. Superbly balanced, what a GREAT beer.

Bottle. Nice medium-amber pour with a frothy, cream-colored head that lingers. Crisp orange taste. Sharply bitter on the palate with no roundness. Needs more mid-range flavors to balance the slight acrid notes of the aftertaste.

old rating: 7/3/7/4/15 - 3.6 pours a semi-cloudy amber-orange with a small creamy off-white head, a little lacing. smells of malt, touch of caramel, some citrus, some orange spice, and a few hops. taste is crisp, smooth, caramel, citrus, grass, well balanced hops and malt, not too bitter yet more bitter on the back end, leaves the mouth slightly dry.

550 mL. Clear and shiny new copper with a medium head that lasts well. Aroma is spicy caramel and butterscotch. Initial flavor is similar. The sweetness is dried quickly with some grassy-herby hops and a pleasant sour fruit taste. Palate is light-medium bodied and mostly smooth, with some hop tingle, and dryish on the landing. Occasional carbonation flare-up at the end can make a rough, watery finish.

Big Bottle. Beautiful dark gold color. Nice head. Not as hoppy as I expected or would have liked, but still quite flavorful and satisfying.
