| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 14, 2006 bottle - Pours copper with a thin head and a light, hoppy aroma. The flavor is maltier than I expected though pretty well balanced by the hops. It is not the intense hoppiness of your typical IPA though, so despite the name, don’t expect it. The finish is clean and lightly hoppy. It’s a good session beer. johndoughty (2165), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England

Malty with no trace of the hops you would anticipate with this style.Never the less a well balanced and pleasant beer. Ibrew2or3 (2766), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 11, 2006 Clear copper color with off white head. Minimal lacing. Aroma is on the weak side with a bit of malt and maybe a whiff of hops. The flavor is a nice mild combination of malts, noble English hops and a bit of yeast. It seems creamy and refreshing. It is a bit on the timid side for today’s IPAs. But when I first tried this beer it was one of the only IPAs I was aware of. The other notable IPA was Fullers. Back then this beer was top notch. Nowadays it is just a classic (relic maybe?) competing against countless high quality IPAs currently being brewed. IrishBoy (2719), Bakersfield, California, USA
