deep deep ruby color, medium tan head, not much lacing. head disipates quickly. aroma of dried fruit, caramely malt. flavor of dried fruit, caramelly, raosty malt, hint of chocolate. medium bodied, a bit too frizzy, nice bitter finish. sort of a smooth chocolate coating over your tongue with some roasty malt.

Bottle. Pours clear, dark amber, with a big, gorgeous 3 finger off-white head that settles into a nice, creamy, rocky cap. Nose is sweet caramel malt, a bit nutty, dark maple syrup comes through in the sweetness. Taste is superb - sweet and malty, with notes of sweet fresh baked bread, roasty bread crust, molasses, and a beautiful nutty note. Finish is very subtly dry, with lingering roasty, bready qualities. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy, carbonation is soft. Very close to the perfect brown ale.

Pours a dark brown color with a thick off-white head that lingers for a while. Smells of malts and caramel. Taste is nicely nutty and malty. The head gives the beer a nice creamy texture and the finish is very nice. A real nice brown ale.

Smell is unimpressive, metallic, some maple and nuts. Roasted malts hit up front, fades into sweet nuttiness. Palate has velvet texture, slighly dry finish. A very decent brown. Good with Gouda.

Very good Ale. Sweet, nutty, malty and delicious. Not bitter, great aftertaste as well as undertones of caramel. Definately one to try if you havent yet.

The name is appropriate. This beer is all about the nutty aroma and flavor. A bit sweet, has a good balance of nuts and caramel. Good beer.
