Pours a dark reddish brown with a nice creamy tan head. Aroma is very malty and fruity with some nutty chocolate notes. Flavor starts very nutty and rich malty and through the finish the fruitiness like raisins become more apparent. Kind of a slight bitterness lingers, but in a good way. Good all around brown ale and a very rich body and creamy mouthfeel.

I think of this as the premier brown ale of english origin.....great nutty malt nose just enough bready malt and drying hop character to make this easier to drink than water

Good brown ale. Pours with a nice almost nitrous head and releases great nutty, chocolate and caramel aroma. Taste backs up the aroma and finish makes you want more. Excellent beer that I would recommend to anyone.

Crazy 8’s all the way through. This beer deserves nothing less. Pours a fantastic bright coloured amber body with a small tan head, little to no lacing, nutty aromas, and a very sweet, comfortable mouthfeel.

2008 Bottle - Dk brown with a small white head...malty fruity aroma, first taste is just bitter for a brown...second taste, tobacco, toasted malt, salt...gets better as it warms, decent brown, not very nutty, decent...

Bottle. Dark orange/brown. Thin cream, long lasting head. Nutty, malty and slight raisin. Lightly carbonated, dry and mildly bitter. Another decent SS brew.

~Pours a dark amber colour with off white head. ~Smells of roasted malts and fruits ~Sweet nutty malty flavor. ~A bit dry. Finish is clean, a little salty. ~This is pretty good. Enjoy drinking it. Doesn’t seem like anything really special.
