Bottle. Pours dark brown with slight white head. Aroma is malt and nutty. Clean crisp malt flavor with slight nutty after taste. Good brown ale.

i’m a huge fan of sam smith’s oatmeal stout, so i had high expectations for the nut brown ale. i was slightly disappointed -- but only slightly. it was very mild and nutty tasting, clean and drinkable.

Bottle. Really nice "Brown Ale". I’ve not drank alot of this style but this one was good. Great mild, malty flavor. Just a touch of hops. Overall, I highly recommend this one.

Amber color with a strong white head. Gets good lacing. Aroma is mostly alcohol by the end. Nutty malty flavor with very little hops, if any. Very interesting, and definitely worth another drink.

Not sure about the ‘well water’ or ‘Yorkshire squares’. Does taste different. Drank from an ice cold bottle though i bet it would better at room temperature. Good dark amber colour. some nuttiness but not as much as advertised (cf. Michael jackson’s beer companion). goes down pretty sweet. Next to no hops or head, though tastes a bit stale ...or is that soap? Maybe it’s the seaweed finings. 5% alcohol gives you some value for your buck. and its taste is not as simple as it seems. this is my 100th beer rated - wahooo!

Pour was dark brown with light tan head. Aroma of malt and nuts. Flavor was a little mild but real smooth. Nice brew but nothing special. Might buy again.

Clear reddish brown with lasting but thinning tan head. Nutty, caramel alcohol aroma. Easy drinking, nutty malt taste.

Pours as you would expect, a hazlenut brown with practically no head. Aroma of vanilla, raw sugar, roasted malts. The flavour is decent, roasted malts as you would expect, with some walnut and caramel. Pretty decent.
