Bottled. Funky nose.. probably one of the most unusual aromas i have had so far. Biscuits, hazelnut, and who knows. Mellow mouth of coffee, toffee, and nuts. Beautiful. Rerate 5/14/08: nose was still enjoyable, just more watery and mono focused in the caramel tongue.

This is an excellent beer, with hints of caramel, chocolate, and hazelnut, with an earthy, roasted flavor. Color is reddish brown, with a healthy tan head and good lacing. Flavor is warming and malty, with light sweetness, medium body, with a creamy head and a nice long finish. This is a great beer to enjoy by the fire on a winter evening!

A deep reddish brown with a tan head. Light malty aroma. Fairly carbonated, malty flavor with just a bit of hop bitterness in the finish. A little on the cola side, but nice and drinkable.

Bottle. Nice red brown body, small off white head. Very nice sweet fruity aroma, a lot of strawberries. Moderately sweet flavour. Malty, but not as fruity as the aroma. Sweet finish, and a tad watery. (lå Rock, 04.01.08)

Has a good hazelnut flavor with this beer. Nice and dark, great for those cold winter nights by the fireplace. Very smooth going down, if you want to have a good beer to rest with, this is the one. Drink up!

not that good. surprised it’s even rated an 84 as I write. brown amber hue with a frothy head. Nose has strong hints of vinegar - ewww! Flavor slightly sea flavored and totally watered down (good since the flavor sucks).

Bottle. Has a nice nut aroma, with a bit of malt. Color is almost a deep amber, and has a slight head. Taste starts nutty and turns dry. Overall, just a very solid nut brown.

355mL bottle, no date. Clear reddish brown with a one finger beige head. Aroma up front is hazelnuts, minerals (hard water notes), sweet caramel and biscuity malts. Flavor is much the same with a light toast component added. There is some sweetness, but it doesn’t really come through until just before the swallow. There was also a cola flavor in there at some point. Semi-dry finish with a light earthy bitterness that peaked at a 2 (out of 10). Light to medium body with light to moderate carbonation. Not necessarily complex, but pretty tasty for what it is. I dunno how I took so long to rate this.
