BOLTZ7555 (1053), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Dec 25, 2008 Clear mahogany pour with bonus points for a 1 inch cream colored head that just never leaves. Nice lacing, as well. Fragrant chocolate, coffee, and nuttiness. Flavor is roasted malt, chocolate, and caramel. Quite thin for the style. A good sessionable stout. twd3lr (4), Benton, Arkansas, USA does not count Dec 24, 2008 Love this beer. Wish it were easier to obtain in good condition as I have found it in dusty bottles more often than not. TypeSJess (3), Stockton, California, USA does not count Dec 23, 2008 The 1st Oatmeal Stout I had ever had and still my favorite. Pours very dark with a thin, creamy head. Aromas of bittersweet chocolate, roasted coffee, I sense a taste of fig or date and a brown sugary finish. Love this one! Hbuck72 (122), Chickasha, Oklahoma, USA Dec 23, 2008 Nice dark black color, good aroma. Taste was very heavy, definetly not a session beer, more like 1 bottle with dinner
The fruit taste comes on a little too strong, but a pretty good beer overall KimJohansen (6645), Copenhagen V, Denmark Dec 21, 2008 Dark brown with reddish glimts and large beige head.
