kpresley77 (133), Jackson, Georgia, USA Apr 26, 2008 Updated: Oct 12, 2008Bottle pours dark brown with little tan head. Not much aroma but slight malt. I havent tried many stouts and this has a good clean malt flavor. Really smooth and not what I expected from a dark stout beer. Will buy again. carruthm (1110), Seattle, Washington, USA Apr 24, 2008 Updated: Jun 30, 2008Dark brown with satisfying head on it. aroma of oats and malt, and the taste explodes with roasted malts, nuts and oats shining through. Finish is nice and the body sits well on the tongue. georgekappus (296), Brookfield, Connecticut, USA Apr 21, 2008 Bottle. We tried this one for Sam at Crew in Poughkeepsie. Poured a dark brown with a nice chocolate head. The aroma was dissappointingly weak of roasted oats. The taste was a bit stronger again of roasted oats and brown sugar. It was a nice thick beer. tnkw01 (124), USA Apr 21, 2008 Bottle. Really good beer. Dark color and good roasted taste. I highly recommen this one! hoptimus (50), Grand Island, New York, USA Apr 20, 2008 550ml bottle. Pours black with a tan head. Sticks to the glass quite well. The aroma was a little weak, kinda smelled like Guiness, but roasty and malty nonetheless. Not a big fan of stouts (don’t get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE imperial stouts, but thats a different league) although I really like how they look, this one is no exception. Flavor is malty, roasted and tastes like plain oatmeal with a small amount of melted chocolate mixed in with it. I really like the mouthfeel on this one, and it is quite refreshing. Again, not a huge stout fan, but this one is probably my favorite thus far. Bhops (329), Dallas, Texas, USA Apr 19, 2008 bottle. Pours nice and dark, thick tan head. Aroma is all malty sweetness. Roasted malt/oatmeal/sweet flavor, smooth and syrupy, but not sticky. BMan1113VR (2752), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA Apr 18, 2008 Pours with a big, rocky, light brown head covering a black body. Sweeet honey and chocolate malt aroma with some oatmeel too. Sweet, grainey taste with chocolate. Syrupy mouthfeel. Tranquillity (1165), Espoo, Finland Apr 17, 2008 Bottled. Sweet, musty, nutty aroma. Red-black body, light-brown head. Taste full, very silky palate. Mammi, sweet roasted coffee, long chocolatey finish.
