Black opal in color. Mouth is somewhat of a leather taste. creamy and a strong, linger of chocolate malts. Wasnt really into it, just missing that "wow" factor. And I would of liked to see more alcohol in this. I think SS has better offerings.

Pours very dark brown with a tan frothy head. Smells chocolate with a slight hint of smoke underneath. Nice feel on the palate, exactly what I would want out of a stout. Tastes of roasted malts and sweetness. One of my favorites.

I was really excited to try this as the first real beer glass I bought was a Samuel Smith tulip and haven’t had any SS yet. Anyway, pint bottle, pours deep mahagony-red brown, small tan head. Rich nutty smell. Medium roasted taste, medium body, slightly bitter finish

Aroma is all dark malts and caramel. Pours a dark brown with tan head, excellent lacing. The flavor is sweet and so well blended, creamy almost like a spanish flan.

A significant beer for me, this one (on the recommendation of a friend) started me down this long path/hobby/obsession with good beer. The pour is a near black brown with a pillowy tan head that lasts through the drink, looks like an oatmeal stout should is all I can say. Lots of dark roasted malts in the nose and a nice feel in the mouth. It has a weight to it without being creamy like some sweet stouts. A fantastic stout taste accented by warm oatmeal in the finish. A near perfect beer.

Oh hell yes. Sweet and dark nectar! Perfect carbonation and wonderful malt notes wtih an amazing mouthfeel. A winner for sure!

Pours a DARK brown (black) with a thin tan head. Sweet roasted marshmallows. Flavor is sweet and malty, with a fairly nice balance. Palate is extra smooth (silky seems to be overused :-}). Love the session strength. Overall one of the best Oatmeal Stouts around.

Samuel Smiths Oatmeal Stout is a black stout with a light cappuchino head. The aroma is malty and roasted and the flavor is very creamy and silky/smooth.
