Defreni (993), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 19, 2008 Flaske. StFun (535), Indiana, USA Jan 16, 2008 Updated: Jan 5, 2009f’n delicious. the label reminds me of the old circus posters you used to see nailed to telephone poles...and this certainly is the greatest show in my mouth! wakka wakka. a rare oatmeal stout where the oat flavor is very noticable. very sweet and very creamy. dark with a semi thick head. aroma full of oats and barley, with dark cream thrown in. very drinkable. a definite top 5. unrulythings (73), Portland, Oregon, USA Jan 14, 2008 pours a thick brown head. sweet chocolate and coffee aromas fill the nose. a very clean taste on the palette with flavors of roasted malts and chocolate. a staple, classic stout. McGarnigle (301), Rochester, New York, USA Jan 12, 2008 There’s not much to add that hasn’t already been said. This is definitely one of the most drinkable beers I’ve had. Nice dark stout with overflowing head. Aroma of mocha. Taste of coffee and chocolate but not too sweet at all. I like the smooth, low cabonated mouthfeel, although I think it’s just a hint on the watery side. gabbama (115), Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, USA Jan 12, 2008 Sweet chocolate, malt, and coffee aroma. Flavor of sweet chocolate malt with notes of vanilla. Great smooth mouthfeel makes this a real pleasure to drink. Petrucci914 (574), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jan 11, 2008 Pours dark brown/black with a medium mocha head. Aroma is chocolate, vanilla, slight coffee and malts. Taste is silky and smooth, with roasted malt, chocolate, and a bit of coffee. Good and easy drinking but nothing jumps out at me to make it special. Falls a bit flat for me but gets extra points for being smooth and easy. A bit overrated, me thinks. DoubleBubble (107), Mescal Lakes (wherever that is), Arizona, USA Jan 10, 2008 Pours a deep brown with a tan head. Nice lacing. Aromas of chocolate, malts, and slight vanilla. Flavors of chocolate and a slight maltiness. Very smooth delicious beer. Great for an after dinner drink. dmtroyer (407), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 10, 2008 12oz. Oh man is this tasty. Pours black with a tan head. Nose was closed at first, turned to roasted malts, chocolates, coffee as the beer warmed. Some raisin in the body, along with a return of the roasted malt, sour malt, chocolate, coffee. Just the right amount of carbonation makes this smooth and creamy in the mouth. Extra points for being so widely distributed but still so tasty.
