550mL bottle from my LCBO gift pack, served in my brand-spanking new Sam Smith’s tumbler that came with a pack of 3 beers. This one pours a beautiful copper-amber with a large tan head. Aroma is just great, perfect toffee malts with a hint of caramel, and maybe even a hint of roasty barley. Flavour doesn’t disappoint with an awesome malt body to it, toffee, caramel, and a mildly bitter hop bite in the finish. Somewhat earthy, and oh-so-smooth feeling. Very well balanced. A touch of dry astringency in the aftertaste is matched so well with the abundant malty sweetness. This beer is fairly simple, just incredibly well made and tasty!

Clear brown pour. Amber head nose was light malt. Very nutty. Some chocolate and light caramel. Good

A deep amber with a thick and beautiful head. Aroma is light on malt and a bit heavy on earthiness. Theres a dry fiber quality that comes before the bitterness. OK.

I do love Samuel Smiths beers and this is no exception. The flavor, nose, appearance is what we’ve come to expect from this brewery. Delicious. This is what Budweiser wanted to be when they made their American Ale.

Pours light brown with a nice off white head. Aroma is light and malty. Taste is of English malts with a slight bitter finish. Another classic beer from Sam Smith.

(Bottled, BB 01/2009). Clear amber color, small off-white head. Toffee-nutty aroma. A bit sweetish malty, nutty hoppy flavor. Dry aftertaste. A bit lifeless.

4-pack from Total Wine, River Edge, NJ...bottle pours copper with an off-white head...aroma of malts, brown sugar, dark fruits...malty flavor with caramel, touch of light citrus...chewy mouthfeel.

Getting notebook online. Bottle. Pours a beautiful red with an orange glow. Not much aroma, just a fresh scent. Taste was very light and smooth, very refreshing. Very good drinking beer.
