| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 27, 2008 I have a massive soft spot for this beer, and have consumed more bottles of it than I can reasonably recall. A lovely amber pour with a nice moderate head. Gorgeous notes of sweet malt and hops with a very distinctive yeasty quality to it that I always (whether I’m mostly projecting it or not) attribute to SS beers. Despite the prevalent malts, this one’s very light on the palate without being thin. Fruity hops, the kind of stuff you’d expect in a stronger IPA but which give real bite and character to this lovely beer. I might not love this beer so much if I was having it today for the first time, but fuck it. arventresca (343), Greenville, North Carolina, USA
